I mean, going through pain, weather it be getting sick, or growing up, or hurting yourself, is all part of life. If discomfort is 100% to be expected in life, why do we get so upset about it if it's normal?
Having 10 fingers is normal. No one gets upset about not having 11 fingers.
Having 1 mouth is normal. No one gets upset about not having 2.
See?
No one rages against something that's normal.
If pain and discomfort are normal, why do we get so upset about it?
It's almost as if the universe wasn't designed for pain and discomfort to be normal.
*cough*
It's because we always want things to be going our way. We don't want to be inconvenienced, distracted from what we want to be doing, by something like pain. Pain is actually the body's way of telling itself something needs to be fixed -- its supposed to be our friend. But we don't like it. Perhaps it is possible to master pain, to make it work for you. If so, then I have no idea how.
