Computer problems

So I've been having computer problems lately.
My computer would overheat in the middle of doing anything strenuous. (Playing a game or something like that) So I thought the fan would be the problem, and I blew it out with compressed air. That didn't help. Now my laptop fan doesn't work at all. I had to order a new laptop fan. It JUST came yesterday, so I'll hopefully be able to get my computer fixed within the week.

I'm fixing it myself because,
1. It's cheaper
2. I'm thinking of a career in computers so it'd be good experience.

So Sometime this week I get to take my ENTIRE computer apart and replace the fan. My laptop is 2-3 years old, and its a dell inspiron 1545.

I'm secretly hoping my fan doesn't work so I can get a new computer. I want a Mac. So badly.
